And if you're talking about rivalry games, people are going to choose the games that mean the most to them in their specific area of the country. For me, it's Purdue and Indiana. We've been playing football against each other since 1891 (Purdue leads the series 70-37). In basketball, both teams lead the Big Ten with the most conference titles (Purdue at 22, IU at 20). And even though the Hoosiers have five national championships, the Boilermakers still lead the overall head-to-head series 112-84.
People in other parts of the US would pick a different rivalry. It's all about your geographic location.
Side note: Cubs and Cardinals is probably the biggest professional rivalry for me.

are you talking about Johnny Damon? cause that was like 7 years ago. When players leave the Red Sox to join the Yankees, its not a rivalry anymore.

Than thats when the rivalry died. Just because they play often, doesn't make it a good rivalry.
All you do is start threads that you consider to be new but are in fact old threads that have already been discussed here ad nauseum. You're just too fucking lazy to use the search function. From now on, when this happens, I'm just going to copy and paste my response from another thread into your thread. That way I'm still participating, but I'm being just as fucking lazy as you.
Thanks! It has to be the Old Firm(Celtic and Rangers). The games are some of the most fierce I have ever witnessed
